- Abrasion resistance: The ability of a material to resist wearing away due to repeated friction or rubbing against a rough surface, such as the pavement.
- Armor: Protective inserts or panels located at key impact points on the glove, such as the knuckles or fingers, that help absorb and disperse impact energy during a crash.
- Cuff: The part of the glove that covers the wrist and can be secured with a closure, such as a strap or Velcro.
- Gauntlet: An extended cuff that covers the wrist and part of the forearm, providing additional protection and coverage from wind and debris.
- Gore-Tex: A waterproof and breathable membrane material used in some motorcycle gloves to provide protection from rain and other moisture.
- Palm: The part of the glove that covers the hand’s palm, providing grip and protection.
- Perforation: Small holes or perforations in the material of the glove that allow for increased airflow and ventilation.
- Pre-curved fingers: A design feature in some motorcycle gloves where the fingers are pre-curved to better fit the natural shape of the hand and provide increased dexterity.
